Of all things expected, this HUGE rig caused me to slow and turn around, not once, but twice. When I saw it parked in the lot at a weight station in Missouri, I stopped to marvel at it. I'm still in awe of this man load truck and trailer, flatbed, transporter, what do you call something like this??? I HAD to find out! With a little research, I would ...
The name on the side said Diamond, So did a ggl search and with a little sifting of this patient blogger, I found a match. Some models have up to 20 axles! Their newest baby is a Super dual lane transporter. If you ever get to see one, wow.

Wow, that's a biggie alright, Kentucky! I wouldn't want one of those baby's speeding past me! As it is, 18 wheelers whizzing by almost blow me and my "toy" of the road, when they pass us. But it is an impressive rig for sure.
Nice shot of it.
Have a good one!
Renie
Huge isn't it? I've never seen one in my area (Cobb County). I would hate to be around one during morning or afternoon rush hour - the way the folks drive around here, it would cause all traffic to come to a total stand still. Georgians like to gawk (rubber-neck) as much as they like to drive to the Kroger parking lot and do donuts if it snows. lol
I saw a pic of this rig posted on one other blog about a month ago...she said it was causing quite a traffic jam! I'm glad you looked it up to give us some info. I really thought that rigs this long were against the law.
Kentucky, come by my blog and pick up an award! You deserve it!

It makes me think of the Push-Me-Pull-You on the original Dr. Doolittle. Hard to tell where it begins or ends!
I wonder what it was haulin? Perhaps a top secret weapon of mass destruction?
Hi Renie! Yes, it was a big one.
It made me feel better to learn that these haulers are on the roadways during intervals and are watched very closely. That is why I saw him parked at the weight station. I was told (but haven't confirmed) that sections of hwy is closed down while they pass through. Probably with police escort. Still, it is quite amazing!
Deborah, we like to gawk too! I wasn't the only one turning around and finding a parking spot just to sit and stare at this rig. I did it twice, on the way to work and again on my home. I really was in awe. :+)
Tile Lady, I'm sorry I missed the other blog. I found a little info on the web, though.
An award? Awe, wow! Thank you so much, I'm on my way ...
Walk2write, Yup, it really does, doesn't it? And almost as cool, too!
Tc, I want to know too. It was a huge gray piece of a metal enclosure of some type. It didn't look like a mass weapon though. (Thankfully) :+)
Oh Lord, I'd hate to be the guy driving that thing! They would have to clear the road for sure!
Kentucky,
Thanks for telling me they are careful about closing the roads down for that thing to come through--I feel better! :-) Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your very sweet comment on my post about Veterans Day, and my hubby does too. Thanks SO much!
Marie
Byron and Tile, I think it would be both nerve racking and really neat. I was amazed enough that I went on a ggl hunt to find out more. lol
great shot- what a monster. I will show my son when he gets out of bed! I think something like this would be escorted by about twenty police vehicles here in the UK- it would cause havoc!
